Okay I am sooooo lost. I have downloaded Limewire numerous of times and the problem that I am having is when I come to the main page at the bottom where it shows the connection it just says connecting. Like I said I have tried this numerous times...I have even followed the instructions on the Firewall..putting in the port number...Gnutella....I dont know that much about computers and my husband is also clueless about this. I went over my Best friends house she has the same computer and it when through on hers! We have Windows....someone , anyone PLEASE HELP I am pulling my hair out!!!!/ Its 9:30pm And I have literally been up here all day trying to figure this out....but patience is a virtue!!!!! I read so many...threads???? and I came across one that said go to the Norton personal firewall, go to the Advance Tab, look for Limewire(mine sayed block all0 so I had to hit premit all....PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! I can not remember who to give credit to but if you read this (it was a guy) THANK YOU, ThANK YOU!!!!!! Maybe this can help others!!!??? Oh also the personal firewall CAN stay on!!!

Are you using any kind of firewall besides the Windows XP firewall? e.g ZoneAlarm or Norton?
