17 worked fine for 2 days then would't hook up. Took advice to change port number. After restart, it works fine now. Thanks. to the person for advice.

I'm having the same problem (OS 9.04, G3, 17). I've tried following the advice here re: resetting the port # in options, but the program won't accept the change -- it freezes every time. Except when I disconnect from the net first, in which case it reconnects me when I hit the apply or ok buttons, and =then= freezes.

Anybody else seeing this? If so, how did you fix it?

I'm using an IMac and was cruising along fine until a couple of days ago. I tried downloading the new ver. and the same thing is happening. I tried changing the port # but was freezing when I hit "Apply." Now it just says "that port not available."
Maybe I have to go back to an older version and then change the port#?

I've got the same problems with lime wire 1.7! I tried to change the port# but it freezes when I click "Apply". I have a G4 MacOS 9.1.
I hope someone can help me and all the other users!!!
