Question No connection with my mac

I have a G4 with OS 9.2 And limewire will not connect. I start the progam and it just sits there unconnected. When I go to the connections screen and press the connect button nothing happens, It says its trying to connect but nothing ever happens. This is all with the new 1.7. With the old program I had the same problem except that instead of nothing happening when I hit the connect button the program would freeze and I would have to force quit.
What should I do?
I have tried typing in the connections manully but when I hit add nothing happens!

Default Hear. Hear!

I'm seeing the same problem. Odd. It worked beautifully for a week, and even this morning. This evening, I have been unable to connect, despite trying all of the suggestions in the FAQ relating to typing connections in manually, etc. There is no autoconnect, and the connect button is unresponsive.

Using v. 1.7 on Mac OS 9.02

Any Help appreciated

Thumbs down Re: No connection with my mac

I have the exact same problem as that other "limewire won't connect on my mac" person only I have a G3 not a G4, Limewire simply does nothing,
it starts up, try's to connect and nothing happens, I click connect again the same thing happens.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

(L.V. 1.7)

Wow...looks like we all have the same problem...just not help!

Limewire stopped connecting for me a week ago. Today I downloaded 1.7 hoping that would fix it. It didn't. It appears as if the CONNECT button is simply dead.

Using G4/9.04/DSL

Let's hope there's a fix soon!

UPDATE:

(I posted the message above).

After quitting and restarting limewire a few times, I finally got it to connect.

Today, it is back to not connecting.

So, it appears that it DOES work, but only rarely. I wonder if this is a server issue with some servers not recognizing the mac client?
