![]() ![]() I was able to connect once today but not for long. These problems began with another version of Limewire the day of the WTC disaster. I notice Lime Wire's mailing address is in Lower Manhatan. Could this have to do with the problems there? (I am also in Manhattan). Hope you get it fixed. Also can someone recommend an MP3 encoder for Mac so I can share some files? I Tunes conflicts with my recording software and there's no more Sound Jam. What then? lightning49 |

![]() Thanks for the tip about MPPegger. I downloaded a trial version of 1.1.1 and can't find a manual for it. I encoded 6 tracks but can't find them anywhere. Where are they stored? Will this encoder change Aiff files to Mp3s? I"m still having connection problems with Limewire 1.7 and Mac Os 9 but find it occasionally connects if I leave it on for a long while. Would appreciate some tips about how to use this encoder and are there any known conflicts with other software?I have an Ultra recorder for making aiffs from external sources (e.g. vinyl, cassette). Thanks again, lightning49 |

![]() I don't know if this is a direct corellation, but I recently switched from a cable to an AirPort ethernet connection recently, and every time I've tried to connect to Limewire it won't let me. This is really frustrating because I don't know what the problem is. I want music, god damn it. |

![]() Hey lightning49, glad I could help you out with Mpegger. When you open the program, in the main window there should be a preferences button. Here, you can change a few things, including bitrate and stuff. To change where the files go, just click on the "I/O & System Options", and you'll be able to the destination of the output files. The program shouldn't have any trouble converting aiff files. And I don't know of any incompatibility problems. Anyway, good luck with it! |

![]() Thanks once again. I have put 10 new Mp3s in my Limewire Shared folder but Limewire doesn't recognize them. They do not appear in my library, or change the number of files I am sharing, or come up when i search for them. How can I get Limewire to recognize them? Limewire was going great yesterday at 6:30 PM (up to 1K hosts) but would not connect again by 11 PM. We have to keep trying. lightning49 |
