Hi, I'm trying to connect LimeWire on a Mac OSX. It won't connect, and after trying for about 30 min. I get an error message that says it might have something to do with the gnutella firewall. It worked fine the first day. Nothing has worked for me for 2 days. I even bought the Pro package hoping it would change things. Can someone please help me?

Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?
Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; you can find the LW preferences folder here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire |

First of all when I go to
http://www3.limewire.com:6346/, it's just blank. I deleted the preferences the the way you said, but no changes. |

If you can't reach that page then that's not good! It's either due to a connection device like a modem/router or your isp provider has detected you using p2p share program & has blocked the port. Go to LW's preferences >Advanced>Firewalls & try another port number in the Listening Port section. Try these one by one: 3500, 1203, 80, 20282, or 443. Don't forget to press the apply button after changing it. After this go to File>Connect or disconnect, wait a minute, then connect. Give it 20+ mins to try to connect for each one.
