![]() I recently purchased the limewire pro edition. Im using windows XP and i only have one active firewall ( the windows XP firewall ) When i installed limewire pro, i was asked to either "unblock" or "keep blocking" and i choose the "keep blocking" box. Then after realizing that the firewall blocked limewire, i added it to my Exeptions list under my firewall settings. I also added the port 6345 to my exeptions and it still wont let me connect and i added the IP 127.0.0.1. When trying to "search" a pop up box says "limewire cant find an internet connection which may be blocked through a firewall." Ive basically tried everything from adding exeptions to turning the firewall completely off and limewire still detects a firewall. Im starting to regret buying limewire pro. Someone please tell me what to do, im not really good with computers but im almost positive i dont have any other firewalls. Thanks for helping!!! |

![]() Routers and modems can have firewalls builtin. Search your model of hardware in google (in conjunction with the firewall word) to see if there is any. Ciao

![]() i do understand that it was MY fault for not setting it up correctly but i was just being overly careful since my computer just had a huge virus and i had to pay $150 to fix it. anyway, im not here to argue or start anything, i didnt mean to offend you by saying that i regret buying it, i think its a great program and thats why i was willing to pay for it, i regreted buying it because i purchased a program that i can never use and that sucks, anyway, if you feel like helping me id really appreciate it |
