Exclamation Please Help Me!!! Firewall Issues!!!

I recently purchased the limewire pro edition. Im using windows XP and i only have one active firewall ( the windows XP firewall ) When i installed limewire pro, i was asked to either "unblock" or "keep blocking" and i choose the "keep blocking" box. Then after realizing that the firewall blocked limewire, i added it to my Exeptions list under my firewall settings. I also added the port 6345 to my exeptions and it still wont let me connect and i added the IP 127.0.0.1. When trying to "search" a pop up box says "limewire cant find an internet connection which may be blocked through a firewall." Ive basically tried everything from adding exeptions to turning the firewall completely off and limewire still detects a firewall. Im starting to regret buying limewire pro. Someone please tell me what to do, im not really good with computers but im almost positive i dont have any other firewalls. Thanks for helping!!!

This is kind of the same problem I'm having but I don't have pro. LimeWire won't even open for me, and I turned off the Windows Firewall completely... it still won't work.

Routers and modems can have firewalls builtin. Search your model of hardware in google (in conjunction with the firewall word) to see if there is any.

Ciao

you regret buying LW pro? not i... i think you should have regretted not reading instuctions during the install procedure. and you should be regretting pressing the keep blocking message.. thats your fault, i would help, but obviously you dont want to help yourself. your just wanting to play the blame game. post back with this confession and apology, then i may be more inticed to help you solve this problem. "i appologize, i realise the problem was my lack of patience during the install procedure and its not the fault of the limewire software."

im starting to set up preliminaries and requirements for help.. basically dont blame the LW or anyone else for your misfortunes. some people like to troll on about how much LW sucks because they cant connect. then they find out it was their own configuration or isp that was stopping them. inessence.. on their end. i understand LW might have bugs (most undoubtebly) but when something is by fact and by test globally working as it should, then we can only deduce its only happening on your end.

(i should start limiting myself on the length and frequency of rant posts, but i think i did a good job holding back )

good night to all!
lol..

Default i know its MY fault!

i do understand that it was MY fault for not setting it up correctly but i was just being overly careful since my computer just had a huge virus and i had to pay $150 to fix it. anyway, im not here to argue or start anything, i didnt mean to offend you by saying that i regret buying it, i think its a great program and thats why i was willing to pay for it, i regreted buying it because i purchased a program that i can never use and that sucks, anyway, if you feel like helping me id really appreciate it
