 very slow.....please help Hi, my DL speed is about 2-8kbps, its absolutely killing me. I have recently switched to cable internet, and ever since i have had to endure excruciating DL speed. My modem is connected via Ethernet Card, i use windows 98, pent 3 @ 500mhz, 196 RAM. don't know if this is useful? I never had a problem with Limewire in the past, with my previous High speed internet connectrion....with the exact same Limewire, and computer. I have no active firewalls on my computer?!?!? I have deleted antivirus program, and still nothing, Limewire initially upon starting indicates a firewall, then it goes away... I have no problem connecting to limewire, i think?? I always have excelleent or better connection strength. I have tried changing ports, preferences, im at my wits end. What the heck is going on??????? Would appreciate any help any of you can give me... Thanks , Scotty  |
