This section is not intended for connection problems. So which program are you using? This forum caters for many gnutella programs. You should have posted in that program's particular section. If you are using LW, then see the BIG RED STICKY at the top of the section that says, Limewire users do not post your questions here. Oh & BTW read the Forum Rules (click here) which are also listed at the top of every section of the forum above all the Stickys which have answers to the most commonly asked questions for that section.

Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?

If you have configured your firewall & do that test & you can't reach that page, then it looks like your USRobotics router may need port forwarding. Can you tell us the model no. of your router?

Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.

Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.

What happens if you do that test and the page comes up that it worked and I still can't connect. When I hover my mouse over the signal indicator it says 'You are currently connecting to the internet' but it never connects. I have win xp with 4 accounts set up. The 3 accounts were able to connect but mine wasn't. Someone suggested I re-install LW and now none of the accounts on XP can connect. Any suggestions?
