And what do you think about Telstra going private. No don't answer that.

Yes I also use a D-Link router but a different model. D-Link don't use UPnP (Universal Plug & Play) which means it can't communicate with programs that need particular ports to be opened. Thus, you will need to manually forward (open) a port. The most important step here is setting up a Static ip which you must do 1st or else it won't work after you reconnect.

Steps: 1. Set up a Static ip. 2. Forward Port 6346; see instructions for both of these steps here: Port Forwarding for the Dlink DI-804 HV Version 2.00

3. Within LW: Manual port forward instructions & sample image & 2 posts after that.

BTW if you intend to use LW on both comp's, you'd need to forward a different port for the other computer.
2 comp's can't use the same port when port forwarding is used.

Also, if you have a 2nd firewall, then disable your XP firewall. 2 firewalls can interfere with each other; go to the control panel, double click on Windoze Firewall, check the disable box.

And configure your Trend firewall to allow Limewire & thru port 6346 if that's an option. I don't have instructions for Trend but I'm sure you'll know how to do it. Other instructions are here Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)
