Default Firewall/Connection Mac OSX Issues

Hey - I just upgraded to the latest version of Limewire and I'm having issues connecting. I've read through loads of other threads and I'm still not finding solutions. I tried the page to test the limewire port, it would not load (does that mean my ISP is blocking Limewire? - it was working before!)

I have Mac OSX on a Powerbook G4, I have no firewalls running, and my wireless internet is working perfectly. However, it keeps trying to connect unsucessfully and giving me the message that either my internet isn't working or I have a firewall blocking limewire.

Any suggestions/help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks,
Brittany

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: OS 10.3.9)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. How much ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. *** Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
9. Who is your isp provider?
10. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
11. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.

I believe the newer version is a touch more sensitive to firewalls & has some issues with UPnP when running as an ultrapeer. For a start, try disabling UP capabilities: LW Prefs>Speed>tick disable UP capabilities.
