Not sure if this has anything to do with the disconnecting problem with the new version of lime wire. ( 4.9.30) I was having a problem with this version disconnecting itself after being connected for a bit. I tried the firwall thing then tried opening ports. I have a cable connecting and a router. I turned off me router firewall and enabled windows firewall. This had no affect. I also had AVAST for my virus scanner. When i deleted it and changed to Mcafee virus scanner my disconnecting problems have stopped for now... I have been logged in for 36 hrs and have not lost my connection yet... That I know of..... Hope it helps some people out there since I know it is agrevating to have this problem...

I also have avast as a virus scanner and I also am having problems staying connected. Did changing virus scanners solve your problem. Are you still connected after 36 hrs. If I could stay connected for 1 hr it would be an improvement Have a good day Carl r

As far as I can tell it has solved my problem.... I have not seen any signal loss or disconnects since I installed Mcafee and got rid of Avast.......
