i just downloaded limewire and it says theres a "firewall" and i dont know how to get past it

I tried the same thing, and I still can't get past the freezing point where it says connecting user interface or somethign liek that. its weird that it was working fine until a few weeks ago. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 in Fixes for Limewire (sample at bottom of page.)

Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

Yes, I did delete that folder with no luck. And with the firewall, the first step says 'Within LimeWire, go to: Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Firewall Config' but I cant get into limewire to even do this

all i did was go to my anti virus control and turn off the firewall setting and it only took me 1 hour to figure that out im so stupid

I tried that as well, with no luck. Still freezing up on me. I am using Microsoft XP and have McAfee but still no luck. Working fine til a few weeks ago too.
