 Have either of you tried what Punkprincess suggested. For good measure you could try dissabling Ultrapeer Capabilities in preferences or options> speed, but really if neither of these help you must give us some helpful information about your equipment isp Operating system, type of connection and so on. We can not, with all the will in the world do much without a few facts to start us off  The Forum Rules (top of forum list) give some hints to writing a post which will be helpful for all
