Connection behind firewall on DHCP network

Please Help me, I am in a Dorm with a DHCP connection to 4 t1 lines. i NEED to get music and I cant connect to LimeWire. I heard they jut put a firewall in as well. Is there any way I can use limewire or ANY other service??? I have a g4 Apple computer so i cant use many things.,,,, Do i need the address of the firewall and port? I thought that i should be able to download from limewire behind a firewall, just not upload...... HELP ME!!!!!!

I was wondering whether you had solved your problem since posting last month. I share the same difficulty, and am also eager to straighten it out.

I remember a while ago, I think it was Moak (but I'm not sure) had something to say on this. I'm afraid I can't remember whether it was useful or not, it was very much beyond my capabilities to understand, but I do remember he provided a lot of links.

Try sending him a private message to ask if it was him and if it was, can he help he's a very helpful guy.
