Angry Error Message

Why am I getting this Error Message?

your machine does not appear to have an active Internet connection or a firewall is blocking LimeWire from accessing the internet.
Limewire will automatically keep trying to connect you to the network unless you select "Disconnect" from the file menu.

It seems that I can't use LimeWire / BearShare or MP3 Rocket.

Everything was working fine for about 3 months...now I can't even connect.

My Connection Status is nill...and I now show a FireWall???

What is going on???

MysticWolf please supply all the details I asked you to earlier via pm. We need to ascertain whether it's 100% the fault of the ISP or not. Let's take a close look at your set up to see if there's any other possibilities.

Also, I just went to the Optimum Web Site to try and get help.

The ASSURED me that it was not them blocking P2P files. They said to contact the program developer.

Shifting the blame of course! lol Well if they're illegally capping or blocking or shaping the network without prior notification then they will lie beyond their teeth. They can be reported if they are found out to be cheating users without prior notification. I believe if they are guilty they face a stiff fine by the government regulatory body! It's happened before with at least one other ISP in USA. The same would happen in my country - they'd also risk losing their licence to be an ISP here.

What's more they could face class action by their clients in a personal sueing case for breach of contract amongst many other things. They would be liable.

MysticWolf

Below are a couple of links you might want to check out the trouble is with your ISP not LimeWire.

LimeWire has not changed anything in the last few days and it worked on Optimum until the last few days maybe you should add it up 2+2 = 4 I would say the problem = Optimum
