Connection prob's WITH and WITHOUT firewall

Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

First, LotR, let me thank you again.
I got my 2Wire port forwarding done.
I got the port change within LimeWire done.

It still does not connect.

There was no static IP step in the instructions on PortForward as seen in the link:

Could that be part of the remaining problem?
Also, there was no place that I could find in my router settings for UPnP. I'm running 3.5.5 which, it says, is the most current software.

::sigh::

Any other suggestions, aside from wiping everything out & starting from scratch?
