Unhappy ALWAYS connected problem

Limewire connects on start up, even though I have set the connection not to.
Apart from taking out the request in the options list, how can I stop it connecting ALL the time cos its slowing everything else doewn.
when I close it down, it starts again automatically.

You might want to try looking in your startup options and disable Limewire there.

Start > Run > Type "msconfig" then hit OK > Startup Tab> and look for limewire in the files, then uncheck it> click OK and Restart.

I know there are a few programs out there that can only be disabled this way no matter how many times you try through the program itself.

Looking through there you might be a little surprised at what's running in the background eating up resources. Try disabling a few unnessessary programs for a bit of a performance boost.
