![]() I'm having a problem when trying to connect with Limewire. (Looked through many of the other threads and couldn't find any help.) Limewire was working fine last week. However, now when I try to search for something, I get a popup that says: Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return results until you are fully connected to the network. It should be noted that a few days ago when I went to search I would be given results with the blue stars, but nothing else. I began getting the popup tonight after I upgraded to the newest versions and did this: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ (It went through) and I did this: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=22359 So, does anybody know what the problem is? Any help would definitely be appreciated. (Oh, and if it matters, I connect using my computer in a school dorm room...though again, I was able to connect last week.) |

"does not block applications, games, P2P filesharing, or other services." So now, the only thing I can still think that would be affecting my limewire would be upgrading to the newest version. (I've had a previous version 4.9.30 Limewire for over a year now here in the dorm, with no problems.) |

![]() UPDATE: Well, Limewire is working for me again! ^_^ I contacted my school's computer help desk a few times, and my pestering made them look at their network. It turns out BitTorrent and e-donkey were taking more bandwidth than any other p2p programs, and they were trying to balance it. Turns out they inadvertantly shut down all use of all p2p programs in the process! They quickly fixed both problems today, and I have Limewire back! Guess this can be locked now. |
