A little punctuation goes a long way lol:)

In the search window of Limewire you can see an icon column "?" . There is also a column for type. If you can't see it right click on the column header bar and tick "type" . This is more useful than the icon colum and will show which file type you are looking at.

You may need to open a file, once downloaded, by right clicking and selecting your player of choice, and then selecting this as your default player.

I hope this helps as I was not totaly clear what you meant in your question:)

I'm guessing they're refering to default program. Anybody's guess, but this is mine. lol :D See either or both (a) Setting Default video app, or /& (b) Setting default audio program

Then the audio file icons will change to that of your default program, & possibly your video files also. But if you launch a video or audio file then your default program will open to play it anyway.
