lynnjoe,
If changing ports doesn't help, try contacting Paradyne's customer support. You can ask a tech about UPnP for your modem & also find out if it has NAT or some other internal firewall. Then you'll have more idea of what's causing your problem. Here's their website http://www.paradyne.com/support/
