I have been trying to figure this out for a while now. I woulod appreciate if someone would help me.
The Task bar continues to say "Starting Connection" and will not connect no matter what I do. Please Help |

Connection problems? Check here first! Make sure you're firewall's configured properly (only run 1 firewall). Do the port test & see what result you get. Read all the info about UPnP/NAT firewalls & see if this applies to your modem/router. What are your details OS(Win XP etc) LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see) Firewall you're using Modem/router brand & model ISP Connection type (DSL etc) Where you connect from (home, school etc) Are you sharing a connection with other computers Is this your first try with LW |

How do you do a port test and configure the firewall?
I am using windows XP and have been using limewire for about 2 years and this has never happened before. I switch my connection back and forth from school and home. i recently just got home and updated it to Pro. I have a cable connection is sharing this connection. I appreciate your help. |

If you read the sticky it will tell you how to configure your firewall & do the port test!!
Can you answer some of the questions I asked before? Like ISP, modem/router model etc etc??? Then maybe someone can help you
