Hi, I'm having problems connecting to the network.
Limewire opens fine, the connection bars are perfectly healthy. When I run a search, Nothing is found, I notice that in and out traffic remains at 0kb. Shorlty after this I get a message saying that my ppp network is disconnectd. Usually I have to reregister my wireless modem to the mynow network just to make my internet work. Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks. |

too many connections for the dial-up modem at once, perhaps?
Try with an empty Incomplete folder (backup the old one in case there are a few incomplete files you might want to try again during some other session) |

No, its nothing to do with that. The same broadband modem worked fine with Limewire on XP. It must be something to do wth the ethernet connection. But what. Any other ideas?

Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? (see sample image attachment below)

1. Is your OSX firewall enabled? If yes, did you set it up to allow LW? See OSX Firewall settings for Tiger
2. What brand & model of modem/router are you using? The problem may be related to this (many high speed modems & routers have internal NAT firewalls.) 3. Who is your ISP (internet service provider)? 4. Is your XP pc still using LW ok? |

Firewall is enabled. I don't get the setup port process on the above link. How do i know which port limewire runs on?
Modem is a moving media 6000 cte running on the MYNOW.co.uk wireless broadband network. Not currently running the PC, but up until i got my mac it was running as ever, problem free. |
