lime wire connect hanging

like others i am getting this problem. it was ok a few days ago
dont know if it started when i decided to give my connection a static ip tho.(had trouble connecting to game servers)
have uninstalled it
installed an older version
reinstalled the latest version, still only one green bar
1. XP pro sp2
2. zone alarm ...limewire allowed (four green ticks)
3. 2 gig
4. 300gig
5. dsl
6. router is wireless netgear dg834gt
7.connecting from home
8. version of LimeWire 4.14.10
9. ISP sky.com
