ok, before i found this solution i had tried everything in every single forum. trust me i tried every single solution on the net and non worked until i played around with my computer and figured this out. this may or may not work for your setup. Ok this is what i found:
go to start> control panel double click add/remove programs click add/ remove windows components click networking services and click details now heres what the problem was with mine. MAKE SURE THE FOLLOWWING ARE CHECKED Peer-To-Peer UPnP User interface Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client click ok then click next, windows will take a minute to configure the setup. click finish now click ok and exit out of add/ remove programs restart limewire, connect and enjoy!! hope it works guys |

Just some things to add here
These settings are for when using UPnP. If you do not use UPnP to connect P2P, Online Gaming etc., then you should not check the box that says UPnP or the one that says Peer-to-peer. Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client will let you access some things and to my knowledge does not present a security threat |

Hey, my Lime wire Pro was working fine for months and it recently stopped working. I haven't changed anything on my computer that could have effected my connection. I tried the possible solution above, which worked on a short term basis. If anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. |
