TV file problem: URGENT!!!
I am having problems downloading a video file.whenever i click on it to see a preview it comes up with "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file".
what can i do to remedy this problem. i have tried downloading a more recnet version of windows media player but that didnt seem to do the trick. can someone help me with this problem. this is a TV show that i really want to see and an educated guess tells me it wont be shown in UK for about 6 months. |

I'd recommend using VLC instead; CODECs list and alternate players for Movies

it has fully downloaded now and when i play it i can hear it but not see it.
what shud i do in the case?? |

Did you downlaod the free VLC player as LOTR has suggested??
If not, do so and install it. This player will be able to play the file without any problem since it comes with built-in codecs. Follow the link of LOTR to get to the download link of the player.
