Default like it matters

Yeah, so like last week i successfully downloaded some pr0n, and i had it going while i left for the weekend, and when i came back only one of them had downloaded and the others said they need more sources, which they did not. Anyway, now i cant download ****. Ive done prot fowarding and all that good stuff and still no dice. I even turned off the freaking firewall, but limewire says its still firewalled. I have a consistant "Turbo-Charged Connection" but it will only ever say "connecting" until about five minutes later it swithes to "needs more sources" but the searches show over 100 sources. Im not new to all this ****, i even successfully fixed the dreaded "NAT error" for Azureus. If anyone can help, id appreciate it.

Files that sit connecting forever then need more sources are usually fake. There's some more info for you below
Fake files showing up in search results
Make sure to check video files with Bitzi before download.

If you want to get rid of the firewall icon, check this sticky for tips
Connection problems? Check here first!

If you're stuck, post your details. The sticky shows what info we need.

When you got rid of the NAT firewalled error on Azureus, did you use UPnP or Portforwarding. Limewire should be exactly like Azureus to Portforward. The only difference being the listening port setup (In Azureus you only choose 1 port, in Limewire 2, but they should be the same port). Also if you use both at the same time, then you need to use a different port for Limewire, than you use for Azureus.

But it really sounds like the files you are having trouble with are just bogus files. A rule of thumb can be if you get more than 1000 results for a search, and you haven't used get more results on it, then most likely most (if not all) are spammed bogus results.

Lots of tips on how to avoid them here (does not just apply to music):

It wouldn't be there if Limewire wasn't restricted at all. The brickwall means that you are not recieving incoming.

Try backtracing your steps for portforwarding Limewire (I bet you'll find some small mistake).

I forgot to mention that you need to forward both TCP and UDP for the port. If you managed to portforward to Azureus, then I really don't understand why you're having trouble doing the exact same thing for Limewire.
