Default No search results AT ALL. Please help!

ever since I downloaded the new version of limewire, I type in a keyword and NOTHING comes up. I have my firewall allowing limwire, so Idk why this isn't working. I also have tried redownloaded limewire three or four times and still, no results come up. Please please help.

Try deleting your preferences folder when LW's closed. See points 2 & 3 below
Fixes for LimeWire

If that's no help, check out the thread below for some more advice

thank u. nothing at all is working tho. i evne tried downloading bearshare but STILL i don't get any results. wtf is wrong with it!? More help is much appricaited.

Did you try downloading a magnetmix file (that was one of LOTR's suggestions in the thread I linked to earlier)? What happened?
Are you seeing the firewall icon (brick wall)?
Are you fully connected - how many green bars do you see?

What are your details?

OS(Win XP etc)
LW & Java version (help > about LW & you'll see)
Firewall you're using
Modem/router brand & model
ISP
Connection type (DSL etc)
Where you connect from (home, school, student accommodation etc)
Are you sharing a connection with other computers
Is this your first try with LW

I did not try the magnet mix file.
I see a brick wall with an eearth behind it.
No green bars.

I have windows XP.
I'm using windows firewall. Um, I have dail up. And I'm at home. It's not my first try with limewire.

No wonder you can't search...you're not even connected.
Do this test & see what result you get

Double check that your XP firewall's configured properly
Firewall setup

Try & answer some more of those questions

i have the newest limewire version, but I'm not sure which java one I have.
Modem/router brand & model
ISP
And I have no idea what those things mean. Hah.
