Make sure you're only using 1 software firewall & that it's configured properly. Do you see the firewall icon (brick wall in front of the blue globe)?

Read through the thread below, it's got a lot of info & advice about connection/firewall problems & you might find a solution.
Connection problems? Check here first!

If you're still stuck, post back with your details (post #2 shows the info we need).

Did you do the port test? Did it work?
You might have a different modem or router to your friends (these usually have their own internal firewall). Just because someone you know can connect, doesn't necessarily mean that you can connect!! That's why we ask people to answer questions about their setup...because everyone's is different.

If that test doesn't work, it means that LW's default port is blocked. I wonder why it's blocked? Sometimes ISPs block certain ports, sometimes ports are blocked by schools, it's a bit hard to guess why yours is blocked.

You could try changing to a higher port, one in the range of 49152 - 65535. Tools > options > advanced > firewall config, you'll see LW's listening port. If you did change listening port, you'd have to change port numbers allowed within a software firewall & also any ports forwarded through a modem/router. All port numbers would have to be the same.
