I'm having trouble getting LimeWire to start up. When I open it, all I get is the small box in the middle of the screen with the logo and nothing else. It just stays like that and I can't even close it down unless I reboot the computer!

I have uninstalled and reinstalled LimeWire several times and still have the same problem. I reinstalled Java as well and still nothing. Does anyone know what the problem might be???

And if it doesn't then maybe changing the compatibility mode might also have an effect. Right click the exe icon, go Properties>Compatibility and change it to Windows NT (or Windows 2000)

I had already gone through all the steps on the thread you suggested without success. I verified my Java installation and it tells me I have the latest version. I tried changing the compatibility mode to both Windows NT and Windows 2000 and still have the same problem. I'm really confused as up until recently I'd never had a problem with LimeWire!

Hi everybody, I need help, my computer knowledge is limited so please keep it simple for a simple bloke ie me !!. I have just upgraded to limewire pro and have connected to it once, the 10 other times i have used it it just wont connect. Any ideas?? It is really stressing me out, and while I can put out fires as a Firefighter daily, i cannot even find music on this site, SOS please !!

hi. please help me. I have upgraded my limewire to limewire pro. ever sense i did that i have problems with it. everytime i open it it works fine till it just freezes and i cant exit out. i have to reboot the whole computer. i dont know why it does that, cause the old version didnt do this at all. i never had a problem with limewire till i upgraded it. please help me, it annoys me and stress me out cause i cant use it and i dont know what to do.
