Ok, so before coming to college I had LW... and it worked great at home... well, after much work, I still can't get it to connect (it stalls at "connecting to network"). I've done all the fixes I know for getting around the port blocks and what not that Universities have... my Firewall AND Router have opened/forwarded all the port attempts I've tried (13806 being the one I'm surprised at because my friend gets it to work on his computer). I'm running a desktop thru a wireless router for our room to have wireless... again, the firewall is allowing LW and has opened ports and my router is forwarding the ports... but I still get nothing... I'm out of ideas... help.
EDIT: By the way, this is a NEW instance of LW but yes, I did try deleting my preferences folder. EDIT2: Tried it without the router... nothing. Last edited by SF2K4; November 16th, 2006 at 08:08 PM. |

My daughter is also in college, and the server at her college has blocked any and all P2P. Sorry
