Perhaps Brad.G's point about UPnP being unreliable also fits for your model. It's probably a later model with later version firmware. But as suggested earlier, one range of the linksys models have major firmware problems. (any model with 54 in its model name but especially the WRT54G is a "lemon") And generally port forwarding is more reliable than UPnP. Though in most Linksys devices the UPnP support is very good. Also, a reboot of the linksys might help. Or just a cold start after turning it off for 10 mins or so. (BTW the LW beta has bit torrent support!) ![]() |

![]() Ultrapeers are who you connect through (help you to connect to the network.) It depends on how many connections you have. If you were ideally set up then you could even be an ultrapeer. But don't ask me about that because I've never been a UP. Not sure about the brick wall. It might be related to your problems. But you're connected & that's most important. Ideally you wouldn't be brickwalled. You couldn't be a UP if you're brickwalled. It could be due to your linksys or your isp. Not easy to determine. In any case, congratulations on getting connected back to the network!!! ![]() |

![]() dr afd. What you describe sounds more like ISP shaping. My ISP stops file sharing programs between 6.pm & 11.pm. first my download speed drops,to almost nothing, then my connections start droping, then the connection window goes completly blank,Not even anyone trying to connect. Give your ISP a phone call and ask them if there shaping your connection. Rule in or out this possability at least. Then post and tell us what they say Peace.
