Another firewall/no firewall thread...tried loads

Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

Another firewall/no firewall thread...tried loads

I have buggered about with everything from different versions, clearing out the programme files, virus, trojan checks. If I do all of those things, I can connect for about 3 minutes before it cuts out, then the firewall indicator comes up and no matter what I do, it stays there. I have turned my firewall off, made port exceptions and I'm not convinced what is up. I'm not using a router, just tiscali broadband rigged up straight to a PC running windows latest version, windows firewall. I have tried everything and I'm getting a bit cross with it now. It has to be limewire and not my computer I figure. No idea.
