and what if you have vista and its not working and you have tried EVERYTHING in these posts. I have the PRO version of Limewire and it will not connect at all

1. Check the Vista section. 2. And probably more valid is, remove all your versions of Java & install Java 1.5 instead; Java 1.5 (take the JRE) (about 4th on the list) and choose the "Offline" installation which is about 15 MB download.

Oh hold on you can't connect, perhaps I am jumping the gun a little for the 2nd suggestion. Check the Vista section & Sticky. If no help, then answer 6_pac 's question above about system details. We can't help you much without them. We can't see into your home or have ESP. lol

My limewire keeps telling me that it can detect a firewall but i turned evrytin off: antivirus, firewall. and then no hosts come up on the connection screen

THe problem is probably then either your modem/router or ISP. Most high speed modems/routers have internal NAT firewalls. Can't help you without further details as requested many, many, many times in this thread & forum rules.

how shud i find all the hidden firewalls, wen i shut down all the ones i cud find and there is still the brick wall in front of internet ball .
it tels me i cant conect cuz i have firewal on.

Just give us the information we requested. Tell us what operating system you have, what security software you have, what modem/router you use, what ISP you have, etc. etc.
