do you have limewire set to auto load when u sign online?
cause i had to take auto load off...and now just click the icon on the desktop after i sign online...

For those users that still can't connect, we are investigating the issue further. Again, please make sure that 1) you don't have personal firewall software blocking connections and 2) that your ISP does not disallow gnutella connections.
I'm glad to see that the technique is working for some users. Though it is very surprising that the fix is not as general purpose as I thought it would be.

I'm using OSX and this didn't work for me. I'm also behind a school network, so that may be part of the problem.

sharing problem
Maybe it is because the sharing indicator is constantly on red and I have one file being shared that Limewire does not work. I can type in a file name to search for and enter - but nothing happens. I have not attempted to use limewire for weeks because of this problem. I am using Windows XP HE, and cannot see a preferences directory to delete in my docs and settings folder. Unless I find a solution I can never use limewire again.

Well Im Using Xp Right Now And I Have No More Problems...I Had A Hard Time Locating That File....But Mangaged To Find It And Delete It And Now Im Back In Business...HaHa
I Went To Documents And Settings Then I Went To The Username Which Is Robert In My Case And Deleted The .Limewire Folder...Then I Took Off Auto Load In The Lime Wire Prefrences...And Just Click On The Desktop Icon To Load...Works Everytime For Me Now....
