how do i write the C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire
its the last bit i dont get.if my user name was say:ColinT,How would i type the whole thing Thanks.

Didn't work for me. Everytime I do a search I get a message that says "Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until after you are fully connected to the network."

Please!! Any help would be greatly appreciated

Windows 98 is starting to become limited. The newest version Java is no longer supported for 98.

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) or for VISTA see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html

If you started using LW after March 2006 then the preferences folder will be called Limewire, _ not .limewire

The versions of LW before 4.10 had their preferences folder called .limewire & those users who updated would still have the folder with same name unless they deleted their preferences folder at some point after this.
