My motherboard crash so I built another computer clean hard drive etc.. installed wxp pro and did the up dates also installed norton antivirus and basic utilities. before my motherboard died I was able to logon to limewire, i was running the same wxp pro and norton stuff, Now since I installed and bought the new limewire program I can not logon. when I launch the program now all that happens is the little box that says limewire on it comes on for a second or two then goes away and thats it I have removed all other copies files what every from the other hard drives and installed limewire on the clean harddrive. Someone please help

I'd suggest uninstalling your java versions you have & reinstalling using the control panel. Then reinstall LW using the "Offline" installer (it will uninstall the previous copy of LW at beginning of installation.) recheck your Norton FW settings; Configuring Norton Internet Security. Make sure your XP or any other firewalls are turned OFF! Also, try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

I can't give much more advice because you haven't given your system & peripheral set up specifics.
