will not come on screen to connect
i have limewire used it for a while i download the upgrade version from official limewire site. icon comes on screen but nothing happens i read your logs and downloaded it again checked firewalls etc. can some one help me pleaes

i have deleted limewontwork several times and reloaded it
i made sure i had java and made sure of firewalls i download it and loads then when i click on the icon on my desktop nothing happens Its May 1 2007 and this has been going on for 2 weeks

bellsouth dsl very fast speed limewire is loaded now and comes up but no hits firewalls aol i think i turn off mcafee or tried to delete which i think i did 3. How much ram? 4. Hard Disk space available? i have a c drive and d drive plus the e drive i can plug in 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? bellsouth 7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java 4.12 java 1.6 9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? bellsouth 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Yes it said your test worked 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. it was was slowly happing a few weeks ago but all at once limewire woudl not even come on and today thanks to you it is on but now no hits ou see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes brick w;ll blue world all bars are strong

Ok so we have tried the the Ultrapeers solution via pm...
So I think we might have a look into your modem/router, if you have a look underneath it will say it's a Bellsouth ???, I need a model number...  Also you didn't have to delete your McAfee, that fix is generally just for the Vista users.. So we might have to have a look at what current firewalls you are using at the moment... Check to see if you still have McAfee and check to see if you have the windows firewall activated....
