I have windows XP and limewire disappeared from my "programs" list. I am unable to connect. Proshare is still there but only as "shortcut". Do I download it again or is there another procedure

If you have ProShare you must of pruchased it from a Scam site, so the best thing to do is completely uninstall whatever is left over on your computer...Maybe when you ran a scan it picked up some spyware in the version you had and disposed of it...Does that sound familiar...You cannot be to sure of what these scam companies put in...

To check that there is nothing related to ProShare left on your computer go to Start > Search > Limewire and see what comes up...
Also you could check and see if it is in Start > All Programs > Limewire or ProShare whatever it may be....

Once that is all cleared up download the official version of limewire, just click on the badge in my sig....

I have removed SharePro and Limewire from my "add/remove" program.
I think I should state that I paid for a lifetime subscription to Limewire now how do I download the service I paid for.

Because you purchased from a scam site and not the official Limewire site, you will either have to be satisfied with limewire basic it is free or purchase Pro...There is no such thing as a lifetime membership for the official Pro...

I would be contacting whoever you purchased through and demand you money back if I where you, also contact you CC company and tell them of this scam site....


skikjw...What happened ?? Did you download anything or just by going to the official site fixed your problems ??
