Talking connecting problem

Been using Limewire for over a year now and purchased "Pro" when my old software stopped connecting. Thought that would do the trick, but now the new Pro isn't connecting either. I have no firewalls or routers and it isnt a port problem. I get 5 red bricks and the statement "starting connection" next to it.

Thats where it just dies. Its not my service provider cause I can do downloads elsewhere (I downloaded Pro). The tools & advance options dont help either. I am so confused! Please help.

You really should not of purchased Pro if Basic was not connecting for you...

You will need to provide these details so we can see what might be causing this...

Also with certain ISP's downloading in general is not normally affected, but downloading from p2p can be...

Try uninstalling your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.12 offline version....(4th one down)
Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5

Also try deleting your preference folder...
Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should

If those tips do not get you connected can you post your modem/router details..It is the little unit that connects you to the internet, if you turn it upside down the name and model number should be there...

Just want to thank you guys out there for getting me back up and running. "Blame The Beach" and "ContraBand" really did the trick. I did everything they suggested and it all worked. Not certain if it turned out to be the Prefs or the .limewire files. . . . but I am back!

Thanks guys!
