Exclamation help please (connecting)

this firefighter needs help. I havent had ploblems connecting to limewire until about a month ago. how I use to connect is first go to microsoft securities center and go to internet options then move the securitie level to low and lime wire would connect. Something happened, now when i try to move the slider down to low i get an error message {the recomended security level for this zone is medium} It wont allow me to change settings below medium. you all are the experts could it be something else?

xp
norton internet security
1g ram
hd 200g
connection cable via bright house cable
router lynksys
upgraded to pro
java version 1.6
the test works
*I have pro in laptop and when connected to router via cable I can connect.
*daughters computer same thing with the defalt securitis slider cant change below med for this zone. java 1.5

Try configuring Norton and limewire using these instructions on both of your systems...An update more than likely caused this to start happening...

Port Forwarding for the Norton Internet Security 2007

This didnt work. The registry files for the zone protection are also correct.
Something is stopping me from putting my security level to low. Unless someone knows a way around the security level of medium.

Have you tried to reset by clicking on the custom level ??
I have never actually had to adjust anything in there...
It could have something to do with a Nat Firewall inside your modem/router..
Can you post these details onto your thread please and I'll have a look at what else might be contributing to your problem...
