Hi All

I downloaded limewire this morning and it seems as though I can't connect. i only have one bar of connection, and it is showing the firewall icon in the lower left hand corner. however, this is happening even though i have configured my firewall to accept limewire, and it even is happening when i turn my firewall completely off!

is there anything else i can do? or should i just accept that limewire is never going to work on my PC.

your help would be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK Norton Internet Security includes a firewall. Have a look at the link below for instructions to configure the firewall. If you're using the Norton firewall, turn off XP's firewall...they'll conflict with each other;)

Your Java's pretty old. Try using this version instead. Use the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java version (Add/Remove Programs) before you install this one.
