Reading back on what you said, "an aol/google page comes up saying it was a bad request and has other suggestions" Dose this mean you also have OLD AOL security still on your computer.? Sounds to me that could be stopping you setting up. AOL 9 Client Reported As Badware And Dangerous AOL 9.0 was reported as badware by StopBadware.org, an organization supported by Harvard and Oxford universities, as well as Google, Sun and Lenovo. This means that almost every AOL user received a bad product. According to StopBadware.org, the free version of AOL 9.0 has earned the badware title because: it installs additional software without telling the user; it forces the user to take certain actions; it adds various components to Internet Explorer and the taskbar without disclosure; it may automatically update without the user’s consent; and it fails to uninstall completely.
