Question incoming searches

When you click on the box that says "show incoming searches", i get a pop up that tells you about the UP and leif node. I currently have 53 files i am sharing, because this is a new computer and i dont have the time to go get my other 500 files from the other computer. If i had more flies to share on this computer, do you think i would have better incoming search results ?

If you're a leaf node shielded by an ultrapeer...just means that you only see incoming searches that relate in some way to the files you're sharing. Ultrapeers handle more search traffic & shield leaves from unnecessary traffic.

So if you were sharing more files you'd see more incoming searches.
But...the searches you see aren't always people looking for your files. Say you shared a file called zxcat & someone was looking for a file called txcat...you'd probably see their search but your file isn't what they're looking for.

I hope that makes sense

Thumbs up

Ok, it makes sense. Because on my other computer, i have over 500 files being shared and i dont have this problem. On this new computer, i have 63 files being shared. So, if i get more files to share on this computer, i will see more searches, ok. (just confirming)
