![]() My limewire is always stuck at one bar and says "starting connection" and when I try to make a search an error message comes up saying "Lime wire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results untill you are fully connected to the network." the firewall sign is on even though I have turned my firewall off. If someone could please help that would be greatly appriciated. I have read many other threads on here but nothing seems to be working. PLEASE HELP |

![]() Those instructions are outdated. In LW go tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Change LW's listening port to 64049, or something in the range of 49152 - 65535. Click Apply to save the change. Try portforwarding your router to allow LW access through it. Most have a nat firewall that needs configured. Instructions here(be sure to setup a static ip first): PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall Try deleting LW's preference folder with LW completely shut down. See point 3 in this thread: Fixes for Limewire. This will reset all your option settings, so make a note of them first. Then if you could supply the details I linked to in my first post ![]()

![]() Try disabling "Spyware Terminator" to see if that might be blocking it. Delete LW's preference folder with LW completely shut down. See point 3 in this thread: Fixes for Limewire. This will reset all your option settings, so make a note of them first. Try port forwarding you router. I found some instructions here, but I don't know the model of yours. They should be close: Port Forwarding for the Gateway RCA DCW615R Uninstall your current version of java while LW is completely shut down. Go to the add/remove programs control panel and uninstall your current version of java. Now download and install J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 11(use the offline installer): Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11
