![]() daboatwright Hi. I would start with updating your java, its a bit out of date. Now! Go to, START/Set Program Access/Change or Remove Programs, now completely remove all versions of java. Re BOOT Your computer NOW. Now! Use this Blue Link to get "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 12" Use the off line installer, NOT the (recommended) one, 4th one down. Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5 When Download is completed. Disconnect from internet, close ALL apps n reinstall java. Try switching to Manual Port forward using port numbers between 45000 To 65000 Both Manual Port forward No, & listening port should be set at the same number In LimeWire, GO to Tools/Options/Advanced/Firewall Config & use Manual Port forward. Then Port forward your router, Port Forwarding for the Net Gear wireless router WGR614 v 5 Follow this link it will open on the page you need to PortForward your router. Use this blue link. & don't forget to create a static IP first, as instructed , & click apply after changing each setting. PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall If you need help, Shout, If it fixed your problem or not, Feedback helps others. Peace

![]() Hi my name is tim and have never even been on a forum before. I have the same problem as daboatwright but I have mellenium. No laughing ha! My world is behind the firewall and I have a cox modem, a linksys wgt54gs wireless router and a vonage set up. I started having problems connecting but it would eventually connect with the free version and I have made no changes but things have gotten worse over the last many months. So I thought I would get the pro version to help that and now it won't connect at all. I also moved my shared files to an external hard drive but have made it available for sharing. I'm just stuck. I am a working musician and really need to use this. If this is in the wrong place please forward this to someone until I learn what I'm doing and where to post my questions Thanks Tim SOULCATCHER INTRO |

![]() you know I thought I had this cracked when I finally figure out how to turn on the UPnP on my router and re-checked to make sure its still active which it wasnt before. I changed the setting back to UPnP in LM the port says 62000 not sure if thats still good. Still LM says im stuck behind a firewall.. you mentioned "even though you only use it as a modem ... I have a suspicion it may well have an internal NAT firewall." how do I check this out to be true and how can this be true if its never been an issue when I had LM in the past? |
