 Hi Jughead580, Which versions of Java have you tried?? Start off by having the latest Java JRE 6 update 2 installed. I'm using that version & LW runs fine (on XP). If you want to, you could try that earlier JRE update (5.0 update 11) next  Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. Check in Task manager to see whether there's a LW process running...if there is, end the process. See point 3 here & also point 2 (there could be a folder in either location). Fixes for LimeWire http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html Now reinstall LW & let it uninstall the old version automatically. If that's no help, use the computer's search to look for all files & folders with limewire in the name & delete what you find. Reboot your computer & see if LW will install properly. And if all of that fails...try the 'other' installer!! Installing using the 'other' installer  |
