I have had limewire for several years and until recently have had very few problems. But now i can't connect at all. Below is the information you request. I am actually a computer tech and have tried configuring my router and LW with specific ports but to no avail. Have also tried by updating LW and Java. It would be great if you could help. - T

Try deleting your limewire preference folder...
Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should

Also you could try the JRE 5.11, it seems to be the most stable for many users...
Uninstall your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....

Gnutella does not have any servers, it's p2p one computer to another....

You said that you had Port Forwarded what instructions did you follow to do this ??
These are your instructions...

Try going to your connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it...
Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more...

Also make sure you have replaced the port number that you selected when you port forwarded and place it back into the manual port forward box and the listen port box and select apply...

Another thing to look at as well is AT&T they are known for shaping p2p connections...
