Default Not Connecting

Hello

I just installed Limewire on my computer at work. Its not connecting. After a couple of minutes I get a message that says that "this machine does not appear to have an internet connection.

I use Utorrent on that computer and because of the firewall I had to port forward so that Utorrent would work.

So I did the same thing for Limewire and I still get the same message. Any Idea what might be up?

Make sure you have entered the same number into the listen port box and the maunal port forward box and select apply...
If that doesn't help let us know what modem/router you are using and I 'll see if I can find the configuration instructions for you at portforward.com...

I'll give that a try Monday. I did change the port # on the Manual Port Forward Box, but I didn't change the port # on the Listen Port. I was extremely busy today and did not have a chance to mess with it.

Oh I do know how to Port Forward, I had to do it with Utorrent. It works fine. The router is a Linksys BEFSR41 V3. There are three computers hooked to this router. I know the shop Secretary has Limewire on her computer (I installed it) and it works on hers. Thats why this is confusing to me. I did not have to port forward hers.

I did check my Windows Firewall and Limewire is listed as an exception.

I'm sure its something simple and I'm missing it. Anyway I'll change the Listen On port # and get back with you

Thank you for taking the time to reply, it is appreciated
