Connection Issues
 
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) Windows XP SP2
2. What firewalls you have? Windows
3. How much ram? 768 MB
4. Hard Disk space available? 89%
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Westell/Proline
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? Home
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. 4.12.15
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Bellsouth
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Could not display page. Not connected
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. No.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New Problem
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? Unknown.

16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). USA

I can not find the information for my router listed anywhere. I did change the manual port setting to match the listening port but that is as far as I have gotten at this point.

Need help. The program worked fine the other day and now it won't connect.

I found this info on your router, it has a Nat Firewall so you will need to Port Forward...

I will point out when you get to the box that says Port Range name it limewire and add the number 64049 in all three boxes for the TCP and then make the same rule for the UDP using the same number again..

When you have finished with the router, in limewire place the number 64049 into the manual port forward box as well as 64049 into the listen port box and select apply...

These are very similar instructions if not the same...They have actual limewire configration instructions...

All of these instructions will get rid of your wall in front of the globe...(hopefully)
You can also try these tips as well...

Try uninstalling your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder...
